From the President....

I hope everyone enjoyed  Spring Break. It was longer due to the furlough days but I think when we all get back we will be ready to go and finish the year off strong.  It was definitely a challenge this year with the economy and the budget cuts but if we all work together we will get through this.

We are still working on our board for next year - we are in dire need of a President for the 2010-2011 school year. Without a President our PTSA could fold and we don't want that to happen- please give us a call if you are interested or know of someone that may be. It's a very rewarding position knowing that you are a big part of helping out the staff and students and you will receive a lot of information at the council meetings where Dennis Smith keeps us updated on what is going on with the budgets.  

We also need a 1st VP -this person handles the Enhancement Education Program, Honorary Service Awards and PTSA Scholarship, 2nd VP- Ways and Means- this year he was in charge of the Ralph’s Community Service awards program, Reflections chair and a Newsletter person.

We will be busy in the spring as Hospitality plans our Teacher Appreciation Luncheon which will be held on Friday, May 7th - it is in the planning stages now and  it will be a  luncheon the teachers will enjoy.  We will also be taking nominations for Honorary Service Awards, Senior Scholarships are due and we will pick our 3^rd quarter winner for the Enhancing Education Program.

I would like to thank the board for working hard this year to keep within our budget and I am so proud of all of us to be able to provide the programs we set out to do this year .
