be a good idea to sketch the concept out first.

Layer Masking, Image Manipulation and Creating Scene. in Google Classroom

Layer Masking, Image Manipulation and Creating Scene.

For this assignment you will be using the selecting and masking features in photoshop to create a scene using original images.

You will be using at least 2 MAIN IMAGES as the focus of the scene you are creating. These maybe images you gather through your own photography, OR images you have through another source that are original to you. NOT THE INTERNET. Do this on your own time outside of class.

Background images can be from the internet or your own to set the scene. Make sure they are HI QUALITY.

You are going to place your masked images in the scene you create using photoshop masking techniques and other demonstrated techniques(shadow creation, lighting, color correction etc).

The goal is to correctly place the masked images in a scene that share the same atmosphere and lighting to fool the viewer into thinking the images where there all along.

NOTE: ** You should think about the scene you want to create before you take or choose the photographs you are going to use**

Make sure you have your images you are taking ASAP to begin the masking process on those.

All demos will be given in class on all processes.

Other video demos related to this assignment may be be looked up on the internet on your own time outside of class.

Due:

Logo Design in Google Classroom

Logo Design

Logo Design

The assignment is to create and develop a logo that represents you or your brand.
You will need to sketch on paper and use Adobe Illustrator to complete this assignment. We will go through the process and the tools you
will need to complete this assignment (Pencil, Paper, Illustrator Pen tool, Line Segment, Shape tool, Pathfinder tool etc.)

You will need to create several drawings (100) of ideas for possible logos. These are to be very simple sketches. NOT DETAILED. Silhouette form will be the best approach.

You will sketch them up on regular blank computer paper provided by me. I will show examples of the process. (Folding paper into sections can often help.)

After you have completed several drawings (100) you will then choose the one or more that will be worked up on the computer.

You will then use adobe illustrator to complete the digital portion of the logo design. This step will take revision as well. Logos are an evolving process. They are NOT made quickly.

Your grade will depend on completing the drawings, working the drawing(s) up on the computer and turning in the final logo.

Examples of clean logos drawn out and reworked are attached for your reference. The final logo layout will be gone over in class.

Due:

Vector Portraiture in Google Classroom

Examples for references may include your favorite celebrity, musician, actor etc.

You can start getting an understanding of how to create the portrait by viewing the video attached that goes over the process. You may want to pause and restart a few times throughout since it it made at a higher than normal speed.

There are also some examples that are attached of finished pieces.

I will also be demonstrating and going over the process in class and covering new tools you will use in this project.
