The Daniel Carlos Herrera Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: April 29, 2019

-Must be a graduating high school senior who is pursuing a career in education or community service with a focus on serving an ethically diverse society.
-Must be bilingual in Spanish/English or have a Native American Tribal Affiliation.
-Need to be a resilient student who in their earlier career had academic or personal obstacles to overcome.
-Student needs to be involved in outside community work or service.

-Must be a High School bilingual senior who is planning to enroll in courses leading towards a teaching or counseling credential addressing the needs of English learners through the promotion of Bilingual Education.

The Justin M. Sanchez Memorial for Higher Education Scholarship

Deadline: April 30, 2019

-Awarded to one VHS senior
-Justin is a son and nephew of many Valencia Tigers. It is his family’s desire to extend the scholarship program to a school that had a great impact on many of his family members. To provide a senior at Valencia High School who has this same perseverance and dream – to excel in community college and continue on to their dream school.

LA Tutors Scholarship

Deadline: New recipient each month, applications are due by 20th of every month and then reopen on the 1st of the next month

-Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent).
-Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada.
-Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)
-Must submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.
