Go Tigers!

Welcome to the 2021/2022 school year and my 13th year teaching for PYLUSD. Previously, I taught at Esperanza HS, Yorba Linda HS, Kraemer MS, Parkview, and Bernardo Yorba MS teaching visual and performing arts courses as well as English language arts. I've also worked for Fairmont Preparatory Academy teaching middle school leadership and assisting with high school ASB. Prior to working in education, I've held positions in the entertainment industry and mortgage industry. My primary and secondary education was also within PYLUSD as a Honeybee, Matador, and Aztec.

I hold a B.F.A. from Cal State University, Fullerton in theatre arts with a musical theatre emphasis and I earned my Single Subject Credential (English) and M.Ed. in educational technology from National University. I am an active member of CUE (Computer Using Educators), an Ambassador for Flipgrid and Wakelet, and work with several educational technology platforms. My sketchnotes and graphic designs are published in education books and recently I collaborated with the Story Seeds podcast co-authoring a chapter for the Routledge Handbook for Media Education.

We use Google Classroom to keep track of daily classwork and the Aeries digital grade book will report mastery levels. If you wish to connect, please email me directly.

I'm looking forward to a creatively ambitious and passionately productive school year.
