Policies & Procedures

Mission Statement

We strive to give all students and staff members training and assistance to become effective users of ideas, information, and technology. Further we provide instruction in the acquisition, evaluation and ethical use of information while encouraging a lifelong appreciation of reading and learning.

Hours

8:15 to 4 Monday
7:30 to 4 Tuesday
7:30 to 4 Wednesday
7:30 to 4 Thursday
7:30 to 3 Friday

Computer Lab

The Computer Lab is available before school, at break and after school (except Friday).

Internet access is available to all students displaying a student I.D. card with an Internet sticker.

Students are NOT to stream/watch video. If a student violates this policy they will receive one warning, a second offense will result in the loss of computer privileges.

Students are not to use computers to access email accounts and/or chat for personal use. Email is only to be used to access school work that has been sent. If a student violates this policy they will receive one warning, a second offense will result in the loss of computer privileges.

Students may print school related material using the printers in the library. Please limit documents to no more than 7 pages. Please see library staff to pay for additional pages; additional pages are .10 per page.

Please note: the printer is not a copier. You may only print one copy of a document. See library staff for copies.
Violations of this policy will result in one warning and loss of computer privileges.

Book Check-out

Students with an I.D. card may check out up to 10 books, for up to 3 weeks. You may only check out 3 books on a single subject.

Student I.D. is required to safeguard your student record, prevent loss, and maintain accurate student checkout procedures. We will gladly hold a book for students if I.D. cards are not available at the time of checkout.

Textbooks
Textbooks are available for student use whenever the library is open. Textbooks may not be taken from the library. You must have your I.D. card to check out a textbook (we accept a shoe as alternative collateral). Please see a library staff member at the circulation desk to borrow a text.

Photo Copier

We do not have a copier in the library at this time, you may use the scanner in the computer lab to scan and copy needed documents.

Miscellaneous
I.D. card replacements are available in the Activities Office before/after school and at break.

No food allowed in the library. Drinks that have screw-top lids are acceptable.
