Update: March 22, 2020:
I assume you are all aware our district has extended school closures to April 24.  Carefully read the information provided below, which details assignments you will need to complete during this "quarantine".  Should our school closure be extended beyond April 24, I will upload additional assignments and notify you via email.   Please visit this (my) teacher website at least three times each week to get updates.
Stay safe :)  And, know that I miss ALL of you :)
World History Students:
Continue to work on the assignments I have posted to this website.  Click on the tab labeled, "March Assignments: World History", to access assignment instructions through to April 3rd.  I will notify all students via email when future assignments are uploaded, so be diligent in checking your email every day :)  You still need to learn about the "Cold War" and the "Holocaust".  This is not an easy time for anyone, but you are all now a part of history as the last pandemic occurred in 1918-1919 after WWI (but you all know that !!)   Hang in there !!!  You are ALL capable of passing this class and I will do all I can to make sure you do :)
AP European History Students:
Click on the "AP Review March 2020" tab and print-out the "AP Review March 2020" document.  This document provides a schedule of "ZOOM" events and reading assignments from now until April 9.  Keep in mind the "ZOOM" sessions begin on Tuesday, March 24, and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday through to April 9.   Period 4 "ZOOM" sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Period 5 "ZOOM" sessions will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 p, to 1:30 pm.  To be a part of the "ZOOM" sessions  you will have to check your email and sign-up.  Make sure to log-in to the "ZOOM" sessions a few minutes prior to the sessions' beginning.  You are almost done !!  And I am CERTAIN you are all going to pass the AP Exam...IF you join the ZOOM sessions and continue to review !

I am Sally Pierotti and this year I am teaching three periods of World History and two periods of AP European History to a most incredible group of sophomores. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and History. I completed all necessary course work for a Master's in History, but did not finish my thesis because I chose to interrupt that pursuit to earn a teaching credential.  It was a wise choice, as I quickly realized and embraced teaching as a most rewarding profession for me.
I enjoy teaching young people about the exciting historical figures and the real and mysterious events that have created the world in which in they live.
My hope and ultimate goal is to have each student understand the events that have created our world as we know it, appreciate his/her role in the future of our world, and realize that he/she can make a difference as a citizen and a contributor in our world.
Course Information:  Parents and students can access course information for both World History and AP European History by selecting from the tabs listed to the right.
