Congratulations to the Valencia High School Academic Decathlon Team who placed 1^st in the county in Division 1 and 1^st in Super Quiz.  This is the third time that Valencia has won the county competition in the last six years and is the 6^th year in a row Valencia has qualified for the state competition.  The team earned an amazing 78 individual medals.  In addition, 9 Tigers placed in the county.  In the Honors Category, Brian Chu placed 2^nd, Allie Guerrero placed 4^th, and Joseph Yen placed 7^th.  In the Scholastic Category, Billy Fletes placed 2^nd, Alex Vargas placed 4^th, and Collin Amano placed 5^th.  In the Varsity Category, Maddy Rychlik placed 2^nd and Brisa Cepeda placed 4^th.  A special congratulations goes to Deszra Shariff who place 1^st in the Scholastic Category.  Way to go, Tigers!
