hi my name is Tony Latorre and I'm the cancer for the valentia technology academy the Valentine program focused on computer education Technology and Engineering students will complete four years of college preparatory classes alongside of elective in Media Arts Engineering technology or computer science the culminating activity for the Valtech diploma is 150 our formal internship at one of our local your science and engineering businesses like crazy on felling and the Orange County Register deltek has something for everybody whether you're interested in going to Stanford or Harvard or UCLA or Cal State Fullerton there are courses here at the lunch at to help prepare you for your future the first thing I think about when we're talking about the lunch high school and the Val Tech program is more we have more computer labs and more technology on our campus we have more tech classes available we have more courage past to explore we have a more variety of classes in each career path we have more students who take her classes we have more industry-standard software that's used we have more opportunities to take classes that are related to technology and we have more internship sites for seniors we have more possibilities for all of our students bottom-line Valtech has more for your future and because we have more Valtech has some for everybody with rigorous and relevant coursework Valtech prepare students for their future whether that's right after high school college or even graduate school so go to our website and find out more about our Valtech program or give us a call thank you my name is mr. Frank and we are the coordinators of the AVID program here at valentia High School ensures that all students will complete their a through G requirements which will make them eligible for California State University University of California and private systems of Education since rate far exceeds that of the county the state and of the nation for students were able to enter University directly after high school plank straight to University time pause born on the technology teacher hear the Lynch of high school I just want to introduce you to a robotics program we've been teaching it for about 6 years it's grown from about 15 students up to about 50 weave also started a robotics team here last year with the u.s. first organization we are called Tigers 4470 last year we were the a team of the year of Ricky team All-Stars at the Inland Empire and that earned us the right to travel to St Louis for a competition we have 25 members on our team now growing everyday and right now where the middle build season it's a great program it's all stem education so science technology engineering mathematics play build a robot they designed the robot from scratch it's all different parts that they have to come up with and there's very stringent rules of to have to follow Jana otherwise and by competing in this they are able to apply for 16 million dollars worth of scholarships as well as meet some of the high school is MIT Cornell Cal Poly Cal Tech all these different schools that are recruiting at some of the events that they compete in so come on by and get a tour of our lab every year we're trying to improve it and say hello would like to have you guys come by and check it out California Academic Decathlon is a Statewide academic competition where teams of nine students compete in 10 academic events has enjoyed great success in the Academic Decathlon recently we took first in the county for the second time in 4 years and place 13th in the state of 60 teams  hi I'm mr. Bill hurts and I'm here to tell you Science Olympiad Science Olympiad is an academic competition where team of 15 students competes in more than 20 events events are broken down by subject area examples of biology events include disease detectives examples of physical events include Optics and sounds of Music examples of chemistry events include forensics and chemistry in earth science events include Dynamic planet in rocks and minerals there's even a Vance where students build and test the device such as robot arm and helicopters each year there was an informational meeting in May for the upcoming year and there will be meetings and September for the current year in an age where missions to top universities is getting harder and harder sing a three or four-year member of Science Olympiad team allows you to stand out Above the Rest currently former Olympian students are attending prestigious universities such as Yale Stanford MIT Berkeley and UCLA among others for more information about Science Olympiad talked to one of the science teachers go Tigers
