Science period 1-1067 Assignments

Complete the assignment as the directions indicate. Turn in.

Type directly on the document. Do not make another copy to write on.

Make sure your answers are in another color and that all the answers are in the same color.

Only a few questions require complete sentences.

Please type with correct spelling.

Read the slides and then complete the worksheet.

Here are some information slides on adaptations that finish with your assignment.

Read the instructions and answer the three scenarios.

We have this week and next week and that is it. The first week of June is for finals.

I have a lab for you to do!
You will need to find 3 other people to do the lab with. Either in your own home or virtually. Read the directions carefully. Go over the directions with your lab partners to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. You will fill in your data tables together then you say "bye" and answer the 4 questions on your own and submit!

I made some slides for you on natural selection. There are videos you need to watch. I can tell some of you are not watching the videos because of your answers. The videos are really important - reading the words does not teach you the information. Remember we discussed most of us are visual learners. This is complex stuff here...watch the videos.
I made the assignment short. But you have to know the material to answer the question.

You hopefully watch the video in edpuzzle on evidence of evolution and now I am giving you the notes via google slides. I gave each of you a copy so you can mark on it as you like to save to your own folder.
I also attached the assignment, which I also gave each of you a copy to type on. I highly suggest going through the slides, videos, and watch the edpuzle video (if you didn't) before you try to complete the assignment. Take your time. This is a big concept and I wish I was able to actually teach it to you because it is fascinating. I embedded lots of videos to help.
Remember this is a theory that is based on fact. Lots and lots of evidence. Evolution has nothing to do with religion.

I wanted to give you some background on fossils before giving you evidence of evolution. There are only a few links to videos, please watch them. It explains a lot more and is more visual than I wanted to write.
Only 6 questions, but use the figure next to the questions to answer them. Use your own words. All the answers are in the reading or the figure.
Use the weekend if you have time to make up any assignments that you did not complete.

At the end of the reading is an assignment. Please read the highlight part that explains what you should do.
Make sure you have made a science folder in your google docs to keep all your work.

Use the information given to complete the karyotype of the Tasmanian devil.
You will need to take a picture of your completed karyotype and answer sheet to put it on google docs and to send to me.
In your notebook - right side the directions and left side the complete karyotype.
If you do not have a printer let me know and we can figure something out.
