College and Career Center

The College and Career Center (CCC) is is open everyday (M-F) for student use. It is equipped with computers, free printing, and space for students to do homework or study. Mrs. Hughes is also available everyday to answer college and career related questions students may have.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE INFORMATION: 

FULLERTON COLLEGE (Dual Enrollment Program) 

  - During Fall 2018 VHS will be partnering with FCC to bring students a Dual Enrollment opportunity.  FCC will be conducting a Ethnic Studies course at VHS starting September 10th.  Students who enroll and participate in the class have a chance to get ahead and start college now, with 3 FREE college credits.  This opportunity is not only open to students interested in attending FCC, but the credits are transferable to most colleges and universities.  Interested students should visit the VHS College and Career Center to sign up!

FULLERTON COLLEGE (College Readiness Program) 

   - Fullerton College will come to help students through the application process at VHS. Please visit the College and Career Center to sign up. (Students will need their Social Security number when applying- if applicable.) 

   - During Fall 2018 and Spring 2019, FCC Counseling 100 classes will be available on campus at VHS.  Counseling 100 covers students' College Orientation and will provide one free transferable unit.  This will allow students to register before new students with 0 units in the Fall 2019. Be sure to sign up early in the College and Career Center as there are limited spots available. 

   - Fullerton College provides multiple opportunities to VHS students to receive priority registration. Please see Mrs. Hughes in the College and Career Center to determine what option is best for you.

SANTIAGO CANYON COLLEGE

    - Students will be given the opportunity to work with Santiago Canyon representatives at VHS.  Representatives will assist in the application process and financial aid.

   - Santiago will host their Placement test in the VHS Library, be sure to see Mrs. Hughes in the College and Career Center to sign up.  

   - Students who have applied and taken the test at VHS will be eligible to attend a field trip to Santiago Canyon College.  Students will be put through SCC Orientation and will be given assistance in registering for classes at this time.
