College and Career Center

The College and Career Center (CCC) is is open everyday (M-F) for student use. It is equipped with computers, free printing, and space for students to do homework or study. Mrs. Hughes is also available everyday to answer college and career related questions students may have.
 
 
Additionally, the following services/resources are available for students to research careers and colleges:

COMMUNITY COLLEGE INFORMATION: 

 

FULLERTON COLLEGE (College Link Program) 

  - Throughout the school year VHS will be partnering with FCC to bring students College Link opportunities. Students who enroll and participate in the class have a chance to get ahead and start college now, with 3 FREE college credits.  This opportunity is not only open to students interested in attending FCC, but the credits are transferable to most colleges and universities.  Interested students should visit the VHS College and Career Center or email chughes@pylusd.org to sign up!  (Course priority will be given to 11th and 12th graders.)

  - Here is the Special Admit Form students will need to complete online.  Please talk to Mrs. Hughes (chughes@pylusd.org) to review what courses you should take.

FULLERTON COLLEGE (College Readiness Program) 

  - Fullerton College will offer virtual assistance to students through the application process. Students can also visit FCC's Outreach website for guides through the application process. 

  - During Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, FCC Counseling 140 classes will be available online.  Counseling 140 covers students' College Orientation and will provide a free transferable 1/2 unit.  This will allow students to register before new students with 0 units in the Fall 2021. Be sure to follow these steps and sign up early!

  - Paths to Success- Fullerton College provides multiple opportunities to VHS students to receive priority registration. Please email Mrs. Hughes (chughes@pylusd.org) if you would like more information. 

  - Here is the Special Admit Form students will need to complete and submit electronically in order to reserve a spot in the COUN 140 course. 

 

 

 

SANTIAGO CANYON COLLEGE

  - Students will be given the opportunity to work with Santiago Canyon representatives virtually throughout the Fall.  Representatives will assist in the application process and financial aid. 

  - VHS Students who have applied to SCC will be eligible to be apart of SCC's Early Welcome program. Students will be put through SCC Orientation and will be given assistance in registering for classes at this time. Follow the Flow Chart for guidance.  

  - Seniors planning to attend Santiago Canyon College can follow the Flow Chart or click here to view information about the Early Welcome Priority Registration process

  - The Pre-Orientation Video will guide you through your next steps after applying.
