Physical Education (Period 2-5)

Course Description

Hi Tigers,

In my class students have the opportunity to be rewarded for their hard work on the weekly cardio runs! How is this possible you ask? Here is the break down:

4 A's IN A ROW (10/10 score)
6 A's or B's (any combination) IN A ROW (10/10 or 8/10 score)
8 passing grades IN A ROW (10/10, 8/10, 7/10, 6/10 score)

How to prove it?
Students print their assignments from Aeries, highlight or circle the runs they would like to use, and give the paper to Mrs. Harding at the beginning of the period. The printed paper acts as a "ticket" out of the run for that week. Students will be required to run one lap under 3:45 for participation credit.

Options:
Students can save their run passes for when they are sick, absent, or out of town. If students do not use all of their passes by the end of the semester, they can print their grade from Aeries, and turn them in for extra credit towards their overall PE grade. Grades reset at the semester.

Run Scores:
4-Lap Run                                 5-Lap Run
8:30                        A                 1300
8:31 - 10:30            B                 13:01 - 15:00
10:31 - 12:30          C                 15:01 - 17:00
12:31 - 15:00          D                 17:01 - 20:00

Written assignments are available for an absence from class. However, these assignments do not make up for the weekly cardio runs. That is a separate assignment and will need to be scheduled with Mrs. Harding.
