I recently announced our three seniors, Benjamin Liu, Jennifer Pi, and Kenneth Tsai who were named as National Merit Semifinalists. I am proud to share that additional students are being recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Seniors Jeremy Powell and Noelle Schorn earned qualifying scores for the National Hispanic Recognition Program and Kara Turner earned a qualifying score for the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
We also received notice that 30 VHS seniors have been named as Commended Students for scoring in the top 5% in the nation on the fall 2013 PSAT. Our Commended Students are Kang An, Urmi Bhaumik, Dakota Bishop, Jack D’Aquila, Ju Han, Yuri Ho, Aaron Kang, Jason Kim, Austin Lee, Emily Lee, Heather Lim, Egbert Lin, Alan Mangosong, Zachary May, Kaitlin Mcfarland, Apurva Mody, Mitchel Pham, Jinnie Rhee, Madelyn Rychlik, Noelle Schorn, Samantha Siu, Minkyu Sohn, Annie Truong, Kara Turner, Alexandru Vajiac, Lucy Womack, Clarabel Wu, Terry Yau, Joseph Yen, and Taylor Youngquist.
