PTSA Scholarships Available

All seniors who are graduating in June 2015 and who are current VHS PTSA members are strongly encouraged to apply.  If you are not a current PTSA member you can become one by completing a membership envelope (available in the Administration office), enclosing $7.00 and returning it to the Administration Office. PTSA membership must be in the student’s name to be eligible for a scholarship.

*Application instructions:
1. Write about both essay topics below (400-650 words maximum each).
2. Include the following information at the top of your document:
  a. Name
  b. Email address and telephone number
  c. Name of college or university you plan on attending and area of study
3. Submit typewritten documents in .doc or .pdf format. Use 12 pt. font. 
4. Email to or turn in to the VHS front desk before Feb. 27th at 4:00 pm.

Complete the following two essays to be eligible (400-650 words max. each).
Essay 1 - Why go to college? Include the following questions in your response. Why do you want to go to college and how will it help you in your future? Why is it important for you to continue your education?
Essay 2 – Tell us something that happened to you as a student at VHS or something you learned about in class at VHS that made an impact on you. Include the following questions in your response.
What did you learn and what made an impact, explain with specific details?
