Valencia High School Dress Code Policies
Students shall wear appropriate clothing, footwear, as deemed by the administration, and groom themselves for school in a manner, which does not offend the rules of decency or reflect negatively on or detract from any phase of the educational program.
 
The following items are examples and not intended to be a complete list of dress restrictions of Valencia High School:
 
• Clothing, including hats, jewelry, or accessories associated with alcohol, drugs, tobacco, sex, obscenity, bigotry or violence.
• Headbands, hairnets, bare-midriff tops, beanies, any clothing normally worn as underwear, chains, and do-rags are not permitted at school.
• Short shorts, beach attire, low necklines, low back lines, and shoulder-less garments.
• Pants must be worn at waist level; oversize clothing is unacceptable.
• Outer clothing must completely cover underclothes and be in good repair.
• Students may not wear hoods of sweatshirts/jackets during the instructional day/school activities/on campus.
• Anything deemed as gang related is prohibited
 
Dress and grooming violations may be cause for disciplinary action including suspension. All staff members are responsible for insuring that these regulations are properly enforced.
