Hello Tigers,

My name is Dr. Paola Suchsland, and I am honored to serve as your Assistant Principal. I bring a total of 22 years of experience in the field of education, including many years as a Spanish teacher, as well as service as both an Attendance TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) at Valencia High School and a Student Services TOSA at the district level.

I am bilingual and passionate about supporting our staff, students, and families. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a major in Spanish and hold two Master’s degrees—one in Education from Chapman University and another in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Last year, I proudly earned my Doctorate in Education, further deepening my expertise and commitment to fostering academic excellence.

One of the aspects I cherish most about Valencia High School is its diversity. I have traveled extensively, taught summer school in China and Vietnam, and participated as an international student in summer programs at both the Universidad de Madrid and the Universidad de Salamanca. 

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling with my husband and our three children, and spending quality time with family.

Mi nombre es Dra. Paola Suchsland y es un honor para mí servir como su Subdirectora. Cuento con 22 años de experiencia en el campo de la educación, incluyendo varios años como profesora de español, así como experiencia como TOSA de Asistencia en Valencia High School y como TOSA de Servicios Estudiantiles a nivel de distrito.

Soy  bilingüe y tengo una gran pasión por apoyar a nuestro personal, estudiantes y familias. Me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de California, Fullerton, con una especialización en español, y poseo dos títulos de maestría: uno en Educación por la Universidad de Chapman y otro en Administración y Supervisión por la Universidad de Phoenix. El año pasado obtuve con orgullo mi Doctorado en Educación, lo que fortaleció aún más mi experiencia y mi compromiso con la excelencia académica.

Uno de los aspectos que más valoro de Valencia High School es su diversidad. He viajado extensamente, enseñado en programas de verano en China y Vietnam, y participado como estudiante en cursos de verano en la Universidad de Madrid y la Universidad de Salamanca. 

En mi tiempo libre, me gusta hacer senderismo, viajar con mi esposo y nuestros tres hijos, y disfrutar de momentos especiales en familia.
