Band Director
Jason Alvo serves as the Band Director at Valencia High School, where he leads a comprehensive instrumental music program that includes the Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Drumline, and Color Guard. He is dedicated to providing students with high-quality musical instruction while fostering teamwork, discipline, and pride in performance.
Mr. Alvo earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tulsa and his master’s degree from Kent State University. He is a member of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA). Under his direction, his marching band programs have earned medals at SCSBOA championships, his drumline earned a silver medal at the WGI Drumline World Championships, and his concert bands have earned several Unanimous Superior ratings over the years. These accomplishments reflect his commitment to musical excellence and student achievement.
