(Classroom Grants)
The PTSA Enhancing Education Program annually awards grants up to $250. Funds are awarded to teachers for use within the classroom to purchase items or supplies that will directly impact the learning experience for a majority of students. Past award recipients utilized funds to purchase equipment, software, books, DVDs, and teaching materials.
2023-2024 Classroom Grants:
Kathryn Black: Review books for AP US History
David Tong-Nguyen: Reusable Wipebook Flipcharts, Whiteboard Markers, Whiteboard Erasers
Judy Yen: Food & Other Supplies to execute Orange "Brain Surgery" activity
James Kirwan: Fycycle logs for Algebra 2, soldering irons & supplies for Mechatronics class
Lauren Paquet: 2 Hot Beverage percolators for ASB "Wednesday Mornings" Cafe- partnership with special education students for job skills training, is offered to student body
Kaitlyn Reuter: Calculators, rulers and books from the Council of Economic Education
Erica Harding-Watanabe: Supplies for positive motivational sayings in locker room
Emily Abo: Plants, pots & gardening supplies
Colette Rigs: Lab Equipment: digital scales, water baths, hot plates
Sergio Narez: Supplies: Construction paper, markers, color pencils, bins, etc.
Eligibility Criteria and Program Information
- All teacher applicants must be current PTSA members.
- Application deadline is TBD.
- Classroom awards up to $250 per recipient; the total number of awards will be dependent upon available funding.
- Recipients will be asked to provide a brief statement on how you were able to implement the educational enhancements with your students.
- Prior recipients - If you applied and received an enhancement grant in 2023-2024, we respectfully request that you recuse yourself this year to give others the opportunity to benefit from this program. For those who received awards in 2022-2023, you are invited to apply in the current round.
