LEQ Sample Outlines

The LEQ (Long Essay Question) requires a response that includes:
Thesis paragraph that includes the following in this order:
1) Contextualization (provide time period and a brief historical background)
2) Thesis and 3) Argument:  The thesis is the stated purpose of the essay, while the argument is what will be proved.
 
Body Paragraphs that include the following in this order:
1)  Topic Sentence which clearly states the focus of the paragraph.
2)  Evidence - two pieces of specific evidence to support the topic sentence.
3)  Analysis - following each piece of evidence there must be an explanation of "why" each piece of evidence is significant and related to the argument.
 
Conclusion Paragraph provided in this order.
1)  Conclusion must mirror/restate the thesis/argument.
 
Do not underestimate the value of the LEQ outlines as they will immeasurably help better organize a comprehensive essay.
 
The uploaded outlines are placed in order by Unit.  These outlines are an invaluable resource when preparing for the AP Exam in May.
 
CAUTION:  Keep in mind that while the I have selected the student outlines deemed to be the "best", it does not mean each chosen outline is comprehensive.  Feel free to add information that may enhance each outline.
